Obligatory First Post

By January 1, 2016, I was completely burnt out with no reserve well to draw from. Getting out of bed to go to work no longer seemed important. I'd worked way too many hours in 2014 and it left me bitter and disengaged. My body was exhausted. My mind was blank. I had no creativity left. Watching my best friend experience life-threatening illnesses for 25 years had taken its toll. Putting 2 dogs to sleep in late 2015 hadn't helped either. I had little emotional support from loved ones. I was taking in everyone else's expended energy and making it my own. I was just done. Done.

To sum up 2016:
  • April hospitalization
  • May hospitalization
  • April - May outpatient hospitalization
  • October hospitalization
  • December death of grandmother
Positives in 2016:
  • I came back from a very dark place with the help of my friend and my boyfriend
  • My boyfriend came to every hospital visiting hour and never thought I was a crazy person - not once. He also didn't think anyone else inpatient with me was crazy.
  • I got to go to New York to see some shows with a friend when I got out of the hospital the 2nd time.
  • My boyfriend and I went to Disney for a week and had an absolutely fabulous time!
I plan to spend 2017 continuing my journey back towards health. 

Goals:
  • Pay off all debt - Step 1 is to figure out how to do this
  • Avoid impulse buys
  • Save money
  • Go on 2 trips
  • Be more physically active
  • Learn to eat properly
